Reagan sets record at Bands of America contest
The Reagan High School Marching Band put on a record-setting performance at the Bands of America (BOA) San Antonio Super Regional Championship. The Rattler Band was one of the dozens of the top marching bands in Texas to perform at the Alamodome Nov. 1 and 2. Reagan won Outstanding General Effect and was named class 4A champions in preliminary competition.
During the finals, Reagan won Outstanding Visual Performance, Outstanding General Effect, and was named the BOA San Antonio Super Regional Champion with a record-setting score of 97.3. This is the highest Regional or Super Regional score in BOA history. Over the last few months, the Rattler Band has been named champion of the BOA Houston Regional and the Texas Marching Classic.
The Johnson High School Marching Band also performed at the BOA Super Regional Championship and finished seventh overall with a score of 94.1.
