Larkspur Elementary was selected for a ‘Stuff the Bus’ school supply drive by UMR, UnitedHealthcare's TPA solution for employer-sponsored medical benefits.
PTA members and students were surprised by the donation as they toured the facility to see what each department collected. There were backpacks, composition books, glue sticks, and more! Not only were supplies found around every corner, but each department was decorated to display Larkspur colors! After the tour, employees stuffed the bus with thousands of much-needed supplies.
The amazing employees at UMR volunteered to ‘unstuff' the supplies and followed the school bus to the campus to help unload the supplies. The employees at UMR provided an amazing experience for the parents and students who were able to participate.
Larkspur Elementary and NEISD are incredibly grateful to UMR for their contribution to the 2019-2020 school year!
“It is a blessing to know that there are people that are so generous and caring about our future,” said Jennifer Ruiz, Larkspur Assistant Principal. “Our students need to know there is good in this world.”
