Johnson JROTC hosts Summer Marksmanship Clinic

Johnson High School JROTC cadets received hands-on training and practice sessions with NCAA athletes during a Summer Marksmanship Clinic. Certified Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) trainers conducted the camp at North East ISD’s Piper Bass Student Center and even featured a mobile air rifle range for the cadets to fine-tune their skills. Johnson High School is one of 15 schools in the nation involved in this Summer Marksmanship Program. The CMP trainers are members of their collegiate air rifle teams and teach intermediate and advanced air rifle marksmanship skills to junior shooters and their instructors.
