Roosevelt ETA team competes at National TSA Conference

Engineering and Technologies Academy (ETA) students at Roosevelt High School took their original board game "Maze of the Minotaur" to the 2019 National Technology Student Association (TSA) Conference in Washington, D.C. Team members Cameron Vines, Felix Cruz, Whitney Hicks and Victoria Lasoya made up one of only two ETA teams to advance to the finals in the Board Game Design category. The students worked on perfecting the game for more than a year before bringing it to the annual TSA Conference.

More than 8,500 middle and high school students from across the nation attended the "Model the Way" TSA Conference in National Harbor, Maryland. This year's conference marked more than 40 years of enhancing personal development, leadership, and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through extracurricular activities, competitions, and other programs. To compete at the national level, each NEISD student and team advanced through the regional and state contests in Fort Worth.
