2019 CTE Summer Camps

North East ISD’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) department is excited to offer summer programs for middle and high school students. 

Middle School: The free SASTEMIC Camp will take place at Bradley Middle School June 10-14 and June 17-21. Incoming 5th, 6th and 7th grade students will have an opportunity to learn about EV3 Robotics, Video Game Design I, Zu3D, Micro: Bits Coding, Structural Engineering, Raspberry Pi’s, and App Innovator through classes and hands-on activities. Students can also experience the Geekbus, a mobile makerspace that brings STEM education into the classroom. 

Both of these two-week camps will have two sessions each. One in the morning from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and an afternoon session from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Each session will accommodate 30 students. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 17.

High School: High school students in the 10th, 11th and 12th grades have the opportunity to sign up for multiple CTE summer camps at no charge. Those camps include topics like Health Professions, Leadership in Law, Fashion/Interior Design, Culinary Arts/Management, Video Game Design, The Jefferson Bank Investor Challenge and Construction. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 17.
