Roan Forest Elementary School held it 5th annual Cultural Synergy Event on Thursday, April 25. The school continues to celebrate the rich diversity in their community and this event has become a tradion on campus.

The day is filled with opportunities for students to learn about and share each other's unique stories. Parent volunteers host presentations which the students rotate through that highlight different countries and cultures. This year they had 14 different countries represented by our families including Kenya, Brazil, Spain, Thailand, Cuba, Columbia, Pakistan, India, and more.

Third through fifth-grade students will began the day with a presentation by the Buffalo Soldier Association and learn about the involvement and impact that African Americans had during the Civil War.  The day's events concluded with our very own faculty members taking the stage to showcase traditional folklorico dances from various regions of Mexico.
