Madison High School senior and JROTC cadet Kiersten Schaefer is excited to continue her air rifle career at Schreiner University in Kerrville this fall. She has accepted a scholarship offer to join the university’s inaugural air rifle team.
“I feel really honored to have an opportunity like this and I think it will be a really good experience,” said Schaefer. “[Schreiner] is a really good school. It’s small, hands-on, and they help out every student no matter the situation.”
Schaefer will officially sign her letter of intent on Tuesday, April 23, at 6:00 pm at the Madison High School Athletic Center. After college, she hopes to join the military and eventually become a zoologist.
