Olmos Elementary School hosted their 5th Annual Dad’s Night Event and this year they partnered with the Nimitz STEM Program. Fathers and their children participated in four fun projects which gave them the opportunity to do hands-on science and math activities. The activities introduced the dads and children to the world of static electricity and used a variety of non-standard measurements to figure the length, width, capacity and volume of different objects. They even had a chance to create a catapult! Kudos to the Nimitz STEM Program and to the amazing teachers that came out to help the Olmos dads. Not to mention, the great Olmos staff who assisted with the activities and brought in donations from Chic-fil-A and HEB.
