NEISD students honored at Bullock Texas State History Museum

Artwork from MacArthur High School junior Alexandra Jauregui will hang in Governor Greg Abbott’s business office for the next year. Just 16 pieces of art from across the state were selected for this honor by Gov. Abbott’s wife, Cecilia.

Additionally, artwork from Krueger Middle School student Ashley Pham has been selected as part of the Texas exhibition of student artwork displayed at the National Art Education Association National Conference in Boston, Massachusetts. Only 10 pieces of art were selected for this occasion.

These announcements were made at the Bullock Texas State History Museum on Sunday, March 10. The awards ceremony was sponsored by the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) in conjunction with Youth Art Month. The Capitol show was exhibited at the Bullock Texas State History Museum through March 17 and will hang in the lower rotunda of the State Capitol through March 24.

Congratulations to Alexandra Jauregui, MacArthur teacher Tina Barajas, Ashley Pham, and Krueger teacher Diana Morales.
