ISA honors 73 Summa Cum Laude students

Family, friends, and mentors of 73 International School of the Americas (ISA) Summa Cum Laude graduates gathered together to celebrate their accomplishments at LEE High School Wednesday, March 6.

“Tonight, we honor 73 ISA seniors who have earned a grade point average of 100 or higher, which in itself is an exceptional accomplishment,” said Steve Magadance, ISA Principal. “We’re also honoring an educator in each of their lives who supported and encouraged them, or inspired and cared for them.”

Summa graduates were asked to select one educator who has most inspired them to excel. When called on stage, the students gave remarks about how those teachers and coaches have made a difference in their life. The honored teachers ranged from ISA and LEE teachers to middle and elementary school teachers.

Special guests in attendance at the ceremony included Dr. Sean Maika, Assistant Superintendent of Instruction and Campus Administration, Board of Trustee President Shannon Grona, Trustee Sandy Winkley and Ron Clary, Associate Superintendent of Operations.

Thank you to the LEE High School culinary arts and orchestra programs for providing food, refreshments and music at the reception.
