Reagan Science Bowl Team advances to Nationals

The Science Bowl Team at Reagan High School is moving on to the U.S. Department of Energy National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C. after logging their second consecutive victory at the Alamo Regional Science Bowl in San Antonio.

Reagan has had a Science Bowl team for the last 12 years. The team meets weekly to cover six main topics: biology, chemistry, physics, math, energy, and earth and space. After dividing their topics, the students are charged with finding their own resources to learn about them. Teams from the top 24 public and private schools in the city faced off at the regional meet. Reagan won all five preliminary games and all four playoff matches to win the title.

Reagan’s Science Bowl Team is excited to represent North East ISD and compete against the top 64 teams in the country April 25-29. Team members include Finny Valorz, Raul Passement, Lucas Moynihan, James Morin and team sponsor Tye Pannkuk.
