NEISD accepting nominations for Wall of Heroes

North East ISD is currently accepting applications for its Wall of Heroes.

NEISD’s Heroes Stadium received its name to honor and praise members of the District and community who made a positive impact in the lives of current and future generations.  A “Wall of Heroes” located on the home side of Heroes Stadium enables the District to enshrine noteworthy individuals with ties to North East ISD.

Nominees should embody heroic values. While a hero can be defined in many ways, the District has established criteria to recognize individuals on the District’s “Wall of Heroes.”

To qualify for enshrinement, an individual shall have:

  1. Reached at least 18 years of age on the date of nomination;
  2. Graduated from a District high school or served as a member of the District or community for a minimum of 15 years;
  3. Demonstrated courage, service, and self-sacrifice in his or her life’s work, which brought honor to his or her family and community;
  4. Made a positive impact in the lives of current and future generations through unselfish commitment to community or military service and in such a manner that can be viewed to unify the community;
  5. Excelled academically and/or achieved a high-level of post-graduate success.

The selection of individuals shall be made by the Board based on the recommendation of the selection committee.

Nominations will be accepted between March 1 – May 1, 2021. Fill out an official nomination form and submit it by the deadline.

Questions about the nomination criteria and/or process should be directed to the District’s Communications department at (210) 407-0040. *Email your completed form to achanc@neisd.net.
