MacArthur Chamber Orchestra invited to perform at TMEA clinic
The MacArthur High School Chamber Orchestra has been invited to perform at the annual Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Clinic as this year's high school demonstration orchestra. The group will perform on Saturday, Feb. 16, under the direction of Dr. Rebecca Macleod, a nationally-recognized clinician from the University of North Carolina. The chamber orchestra will play “Sakura” featuring solo cellist Jackie Bustos, a principal cellist at MacArthur. The session title is "Effective Rehearsals: Combining Artistry and Pedagogy."
TMEA is an organization of over 11,000 school music educators dedicated to promoting excellence in music education. The annual four-day conference is the largest music educators convention in the nation. Good luck to the students representing North East ISD and MacArthur High School at San Antonio’s Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
