Reagan JROTC Drill and Color Guard moving on to Nationals

The JROTC Drill Team and Color Guard from Reagan High School secured a spot at nationals after a strong showing at the 5th Brigade JROTC Drill Team Championship Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. During this contest schools from the eight-state region came together to compete for a bid to attend Army Nationals, which is scheduled for March 30th in Richmond, Virginia. 

The Rattler Guard Armed Drill Team’s incredible exhibition drill performance earned them 5th place overall. The Diamondback Unarmed Drill Team earned 3rd place in color guard and 1st place in both regulation and exhibition drill and 2nd place overall. The teams combined effort also earned the title of North East ISD District Champions in the JROTC Drill and Color Guard categories. Both teams earned bids to compete in Army Nationals. Reagan was the only NEISD School to have both JROTC teams do so.
