Hard working North East ISD employees arrived at the Community Learning Center for the United Way Thank You Reception on Wednesday, Nov. 14. The reception, which is held once a year, is an effort to formally express gratitude and thanks to NEISD campaign coordinators who coordinated the giving at their campus or department.
NEISD’s participation in the United Way has consistently been the highest among area school districts, and this year was no different. This year, the Combined School District Charitable Campaign donated a total of $251, 653.
In addition to sharing final numbers, awards were presented to coordinators based on increases in giving and reaching 100 percent participation.
Thanks to NEISD employees’ generosity, and hard work from coordinators, the campaign will help be able to help organizations such as the Children’s Shelter, Food Bank, Red Cross, and even the North East Educational Foundation.
