Reagan JROTC hosts annual blood drive

JROTC cadets at Reagan High School hosted a blood drive on Tuesday, Oct. 30. One hundred Reagan students between the ages of 16 and 18 registered to donate blood that day, and 45 of them were first-time donors. A total of 80 units of blood were collected from the annual drive. Eight students donated double of what a regular donor contributes, or donated red blood cell plasma, which takes more time than a regular donation. The donation from Reagan students potentially saved 240 lives. The Rattler Battalion JROTC program looks forward to hosting future drives and saving lives one pint at a time.
