LEE JROTC cadets organize food drive

LEE High School JROTC cadets spearheaded a non-perishable food drive supporting the McKinney-Vento Homeless Project just in time for Thanksgiving. This group is committed to ensuring that all North East ISD children and youth in homeless situations have the opportunity to attend, enroll in and succeed in school.

“It is really nice to see other students in this district willing to help out other students in need,” said family liaison Kristy Wager. “It shows a lot about their leadership. When I entered their staff room, I was moved by the continued support they provide.”

The LEE High School JROTC department has gathered food donations for the McKinney-Vento Homeless Project for more than 10 years. This year they were presented with a certificate of appreciate for their support.
