Tex Hill hosts annual Honor Flight dinner

Tex Hill Middle School hosted its annual Honor Flight Veteran Dinner on Friday, Nov. 9. Honor Flight San Antonio is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization whose mission is to take every willing and able hero to see his or her memorials in Washington, D.C.

Tex Hill students honored participating veterans by serving them dinner and putting together a student program in their honor.

“I’m a veteran in the U.S. Army, and I served for 20 years,” said Israel Hinojosa. “I was really impressed with our Honor trip to Washington, D.C. I want to thank all of the students and the school for supporting us and helping us get through this flight and the future flights for the veterans to go to Washington, D.C. and see the memorials for all those who served our country in the different wars.”

This is the fourth year Tex Hill has hosted an Honor Flight dinner.
