NEISD students thank veterans with artwork
North East ISD art students in 8-12 grade took part in Operation Proud Nation to honor veterans and active duty service members. Students and teachers at Garner, Harris, Lopez and Bradley Middle Schools and Churchill, Reagan, and Roosevelt High Schools participated this year and contributed a total of 728 incredible works of art.
Operation Proud Nation is a program that takes place in cities nationwide. Participants have the opportunity to create an 8.5 by 11 inch artwork and attach a message thanking military members for their service and sacrifice. After all the pieces are collected, a giant mosaic mural will be installed in a prominent public location. Click here to learn more about Operation Proud Nation.
