NEISD elementary students attend Superintendent Luncheon
On Tuesday, Nov. 6, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian G. Gottardy welcomed 23 North East ISD elementary students for his annual Superintendent Student Luncheon at the District’s Central Office.
Students were selected by their school principals to attend and share ideas and issues they encounter on an everyday basis at their campuses. The students, representing 23 elementary schools, enjoyed a lunch prepared by the LEE High School Culinary Program. They discussed a variety of topics, including what they are most proud of at their schools, how technology affects their learning and what improvements they feel their school could use.
The event allows the Superintendent to hear directly from students. It is also a great opportunity for students to discuss their experiences and ideas, along with listening to the opinions of other students within the District.
Gottardy will host similar luncheons for secondary students later this month.
