Eisenhower students and staff face off in “Dig Pink” game

The 5th annual “Dig Pink” volleyball game at Eisenhower Middle School was a hit on and off the court. On Monday, Oct. 29, teams comprised of students and teachers faced off to raise money for breast cancer research.

Coach Katherine Claire spearheaded the annual “Dig Pink” game while faculty volunteers stepped up to referee the game, and help sell tickets and concession stand items donated by students and their families. HEB also donated dozens of beautiful pink roses for every female spectator at the game.

After a close competition, the Eisenhower teachers came away with a win over the students. This year, $500 raised through tickets and concession sales will be donated to the Side-Out Foundation. “Dig Pink” is a nationwide movement to provide meaningful and impactful experiences for athletes while inspiring and empowering them to support breast cancer research.
