Garner students serve as National Ambassadors in Washington, D.C.

Garner Middle School students, Andrew Lockett and Kathleen Torgerson are spending the week of July 15-21 in Washington, D.C. representing San Antonio and North East ISD as National Ambassadors. 

Lockett and Torgerson were selected as Ambassadors after winning “Do the Write Thing Challenge” writing contest where students were asked to write essays discussing violence-exposing the causes and impacts of violence, while also discussing their ideas for solutions.
