NEISD Elementary Students Wow with Robot Wonders at VEX IQ Competition
The competition was fierce at the North East ISD's annual VEX IQ Robotics contest. Dozens of schools brought their A-game to Madison High School's Agriscience Magnet Program (AMP) Arena for the VIQRC Elementary Robot Wonderland competition.
The competition featured several challenges, including the 2024-2025 VEX IQ game Rapid Relay, which challenges teams to work together in alliances to complete tasks like collecting and scoring game objects. Each match tests students' strategic thinking and robotics skills as they race against the clock to maximize their scores.
Encino Park's Team 5129B earned the prestigious Teamwork Champion Award, while the Walzem Megaminds (Team 76542A) were honored with the Judges Award for their exceptional performance and innovation.
The competition also served as a stepping stone for further success. Team 5129B from Encino Park has secured an invitation to the 2025 Texas Region 4 Elementary VEX IQ State Championship, which will take place on March 1, 2025.
A big thank you to all the teachers, coaches, parents, and volunteers who spent their Saturday supporting our students in their passion for STEM, robotics and coding.
See you next year!
