Tejeda Timberwolves lead NEISD's January Board Meeting

Two terrific Tejeda Middle School Timberwolves gave the invocation and pledge of allegiance at the regular meeting of the North East Board of Trustees on Monday, January 23.

Eighth-grader Maybelle Cope delivered the invocation. Maybelle is an officer with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Peer Assistance Leadership member and Band Member. She is also a student-athlete competing in volleyball, basketball, golf, tennis, soccer and track. And she does it all while constantly being named to the Honor Roll.

Maybelle was joined by her parents, David and Kelly Cope, and her little sister Ade.

Eighth-grader Jacob Mazzocco led those in attendance in the pledges to the U.S. and Texas flags. Jacob is a Vice-President of the National Junior Honor Society, a Peer Assistance Leader, member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Council, Band and Debate. He is also a student-athlete competing in football, track, soccer and tennis. He is also on the Honor Roll.

Jacob was joined by his mother, Deanna Mazzocco.

Way to go, Maybelle and Jacob!
