Need help with your to-do list?

NETS students sort through markers

Need help chipping away at your office to-do list? North East Transition Services (NETS) students can help!

The new NETS on the Go service is now assisting departments every Thursday at North East ISD's Richard A. Middleton Education Center (RAMEC).

NETS is a community-based program for students with disabilities in the 18 – 21 age group. These students have completed high school, reside in North East ISD, have a current Individual Education Plan (IEP) and are seeking the support skills necessary for adult life.

Our NETS students are picking up vital opportunities to gain hands-on clerical and office skills. They can laminate posters, make copies, assist with shredding, or assemble materials like gift bags. Recently, they helped sort through hundreds of dry-erase markers to dispose of the ones that no longer worked.

If you think NETS may be a good fit for your child, visit neisd.net/nets to learn more or contact Special Education Director Lorena Gonzalez at lgonza5@neisd.net.
