Board amends retention supplement

In June, the Board of Trustees approved a one-time retention supplement of 1% for the 2022-2023 school year. After further review of available funds, the Board has approved an amendment to that amount. During the November regularly scheduled board meeting, the Board approved an increase to the retention supplement.

All District employees, including KIN assistants, will now receive a one-time supplement equaling 1.5% of their annualized pay grade midpoint, with a minimum supplement payment of $375. The one-time retention supplement amount for full-time teachers and librarians will equal $871

To qualify, employees must have a hire date on or before Oct. 1, 2022. All other temporary and substitute employees are ineligible for the supplement.

In order to give Payroll adequate time to process, the supplement will be paid in a separate payment to all eligible employees on November 30, 2022.

The Human Resources department will be providing more details to employees later this week.
