Pipe problem is no problem for NEISD

Pipe problem is no problem for NEISD

Earlier this month, a pipe burst at Cibolo Green Elementary School.

When Principal Sara Ramirez arrived at school, there was 6 inches of water in several classrooms.

But as they say, the show must go on, so she called in the North East ISD Cavalry.

“The NEISD team was All In, All Win (which is our theme this year), and you would never know there was that much damage to the facility,” said Ramirez. “I appreciate Dr. Lanford and his team for sending out the calvary. Nick and Elliot communicated with me on the clean-up, drying out, removal of cabinets and repair. The Maintenance department, painters, carpenters and Technology Services worked in concert with one another efficiently to get each room back together. And the custodial crew, led by Erika Frankle, worked for three straight days to get the floors ready so we could return furniture to the classrooms. I’m so proud of all the departments that had a hand in getting us back on track.”

The classrooms are back in business this week, and things are moving back in. Parents have also volunteered their time to move furniture and help teachers during this trying time.

But as they say at Cibolo Green, when we are all in, we all win.

Taking care of each other #theNEISDway.
