The Space and Engineering Technologies Academy (SETA) magnet program is launching soon at North East ISD.
This cohesive 6th – 12th grade magnet will emphasize space-themed curriculum with a hands-on approach where students will have opportunities to innovate and explore all aspects of aerospace and aeronautical engineering. Additionally, students will curate the possibility of partnerships with top U.S. space agencies.
SETA is set to become the premier institution for students who have an interest in developing the necessary skills to become subject matter experts on all aircraft between the ground and the galaxies. Through the designing, building, and flying processes, SETA students will be in the pilot’s seat of their own education through air and space exploration. It is truly an exciting time to be a part of something huge here in NEISD!
Courses will be centered around engineering in aerospace, manufacturing, computer science, aviation technology and mechanical industries. At SETA, our students will leave NEISD ready to lead as the next generation of engineers in high-demand, lucrative industries.
SETA will launch with sixth and ninth grade classes at Krueger Middle School and Roosevelt High School starting in the 2023 – 2024 school year. Reserve your space today!
