“I am honored to be given this opportunity of a lifetime,” said Roosevelt High School senior Nikolas Del Rosario.
In three months, Del Rosario will travel to Vietnam for an incredible opportunity with FutureDocs Abroad. This renowned two-week program will give him hands-on experiences shadowing physicians in emergency rooms, clinics, and wards in more than a dozen areas of specialties from pediatrics to oncology, surgery, orthopedics and more.
Del Rosario will join some of the top students in the U.S. in Hue, Vietnam. The physicians he shadows will explain each procedure as it’s being performed. The FutureDocs Abroad internship also offers a path, plan and resources to help them reach their goal of becoming a doctor.
Del Rosario is a proud member of the Roosevelt JROTC Roughrider Battalion. He will travel to Vietnam over winter break.
