Congratulations to MacArthur High School senior Doryann Mueller! She will soon be packing her bags and her flute to travel and perform at the world-famous Musikverein concert hall in Vienna, Austria.
Doryann was selected to perform in the renowned 2022 High School Honors Performance Series. She auditioned for the group last year and was selected after a review by the Honors Selection Board. She’ll play alongside 200 of the best young musicians from the United States, China, Canada, and Qatar for a special performance at the Musikverein this summer.
Her acceptance to this elite group is a direct result of the talent, dedication, and achievements demonstrated in her application and audition recording.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to perform in Vienna and represent San Antonio,” said Doryann.
Doryann has studied music for 10 years and is a member of the San Antonio Youth Wind Ensemble. During her time in the MacArthur Wind Ensemble, she has made Region and Area Band three years in a row and she made All-State Band in 2021.
