Terri Chidgey, Vice President

It is a privilege to serve as a North East Independent School District Board of Trustee. I am deeply committed to upholding the NEISD's esteemed legacy of excellence and advocating for the best interests of our students. My connection to NEISD runs deep; both my husband and I, along with our two adult children are NEISD graduates.

I am a retired NEISD Educator where I served as a Teacher of grades 1, 2 and 3, Assistant Principal at Woodstone Elementary School, Principal for Northern Hills Elementary School, Stone Oak and Tuscany Heights elementary schools, Executive Director for School Improvement (Curriculum) and Performance and Planning and recently retired from The University of The Incarnate Word as a Supervisor for Student Teachers.

Volunteering is a passion of mine and as a parent I had the honor of serving on various boards and committees. At Churchill and Reagan, I volunteered on the Booster Club Boards, Spirit Booster Club Board, and Reagan Mascot Committee. As a member of the Reagan Campus Improvement Committee, and Charter member of the Reagan PTA, I actively supported school initiatives. At St. Thomas Episcopal Church, I served as the School Board President, and am currently a Lay Reader, and on the Welcome team. Additionally, as The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Texas State Librarian elect, I engage in community service activities such as Naturalization ceremonies, Honor Flight Welcome Homes, Wreaths Across America, preparing meals for veterans’ families at the Fisher House, and organizing pinning ceremonies for Viet Nam Veterans.

I eagerly anticipate attending the many incredible functions held by NEISD and visiting with parents, educators and community members. Above all I look forward to meeting and interacting with our children who will always be my primary focus.
