May 2018 Election

"The North East Independent School District had an election scheduled to occur in May 2018 for three positions on its Board of Trustees.  Ultimately, the candidates for each of the three positions were unopposed and, in light of this, the District lawfully cancelled the election within the applicable timeline.  Therefore, under the Texas Ethics Commission rules, the unopposed candidates were not required to file the campaign finance reports required 30 and 8 days, respectively, before the scheduled election.  That is why the District has not published any reports here."
