Where are you going on Spring Break?
NEISD elementary students will have the world at their fingertips during spring break thanks to some brand-new books they received before the week-long break.
The Spring into Reading initiative sent students from Title 1 elementary campuses home with five new books full of learning activities to build language, vocabulary, reading comprehension, critical thinking and writing skills.
“This is the most excited I’ve ever been in my whole life about getting books,” said one fifth-grade student at Regency Place.
After Spring Break, students will return with a postcard to show their teachers what they have learned.
