Free Meal Eligibility

Public school children benefit from this federal program that provides nutritious meals at low cost. Free cost breakfast and lunches are available to families if:

• Their address is a homeless shelter or the family has no known address and is indeed homeless.
• They now receive food stamps or cash assistance (also known as AFDC or TANF).
• Their total household income falls below established income guidelines, in which case children can receive both breakfast and lunch for free of charge.
