Buzzer System:
Encino Park has a buzz-in system at the front door. Once the school day starts, the front door will automatically lock. Any person wanting to enter the front door will need to buzz in, show their ID, and the office staff will open the door. This buzzer system has a camera, a monitor, and an intercom to communicate with the person at the door. If you arrive after 7:30 am, please walk your student to the door.
Morning Information:
- The cafeteria opens for breakfast at 7:00 am. Students will enter through the main doors.
- Pre-K-2nd grade students report to the cafeteria prior to 7:30. All other students in 3rd-5th grades report to the gym before 7:30. Teachers begin picking up students at 7:25 to go to the classrooms. The tardy bell rings at 7:30am.
- Parking - The upper parking lot is reserved for teachers and staff parking. Please do not use these parking spots to unload students and walk them up.
- Please adhere to handicap parking laws and leave those spaces available.
- When dropping off students in the upper parking lot, please be aware of all incoming traffic. Please do not exit your car in the drop off lane because this hinders the flow of traffic.
- If you are going to exit the car to help your child walk-up, please park in the lower parking lot and walk your child to the porch. Leaving cars unattended along the curb disrupts the traffic flow and creates safety issues.
- The lower lot is also available for student drop off. Please do not drop off or pick up your child on Encino Rio or Caliza Road.
- Please touch base with your child's teacher for additional information.
Afternoon Dismissal:
- Car-Rider Pick-Up:
- The upper parking lot is used for Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade.
- The lower parking lot is used for 3rd, 4th and 5th grades.
- Please have your car signs visible and hanging on your rear-view mirror during dismissal. This will expedite calling for your child to your vehicle. Classroom teachers will hand out the signs at Meet the Teacher and/or the first day of school.
- Please pull forward and have your child enter/exit the car from the passenger side of the vehicle for both drop-off and pick-up. This is extremely important for the safety of all our students.
- Please utilize the drive-through to pick up students so that we limit visitors on the porch.
- If you need an extra car sign or need a replacement, feel free to let your child's teacher know. You may get extras for grandparents, etc, when they pick up.
Reminders:
- Parking - The upper parking lot is reserved for teachers and staff parking.
- Please use the crosswalks when crossing the street. There are many blind spots and cars may not see you if you attempt to cross in other areas.
- Remember San Antonio is a Hands Free Zone. Please stay off your phone when driving through the pick-up/drop-off line.
- Dogs are not allowed on campus.
- Please adhere to handicap parking laws and leave those spaces available.
- Please do not park along curbs in front of the school due to buses.
- If you need to sign your child out early please do your best to get them no later than 2:10pm. After this time students start to transition as we prepare for dismissal.
- Please be sure to speak to a staff member if you are trying to reach the school regarding a change in dismissal plans for your child. Emails or Seesaw messages may not be received immediately.

The school office is open from 7:00-3:30 daily.
