Our seniors are two weeks away from their travel experience to Washington, D.C.! As our students continue to make plans for their trip, the ISA Administration will be accepting any overnight medication that students may need during the D.C. travel experience. Below are a few reminders:
-
All medications should be turned in to the ISA Main Office the week of January 27 - 31 during business hours OR on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.*
-
Special requests requiring doctor’s orders--including self-carry orders--for items should be on file with the campus nurse as soon as possible!
-
Only items such as inhalers, epipens, diabetes equipment, and hormones may be approved for self-carry.
-
NEISD employee chaperones will administer medications, and families should submit all medication in the original package containing only the amount necessary for the duration of the travel experience.
-
Students may NOT carry ANY medication on their person!
-
If you are not sure about the above details or have any questions, please, contact Steve Magadance at (210) 356-0910 or by email at smagad@neisd.net.

After saying goodbye to students from our partner school in Takayama, Japan, this week, we are back to planning for our next group of exchange visitors from Frankfurt, Germany, from March 26 - April 5, 2025. If your family is interested in hosting a student from our sister school in Frankfurt, click HERE!
Tomorrow, Monday, January 20th, is a student and staff holiday honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We look forward to seeing our students back in the ISA hallways on Tuesday, January 21st!
2024-2025 marks the 30th academic year of ISA. A celebration of this milestone is planned for this spring semester, and we invite all ISA families, friends, students and alumni to mark your calendars and save the date. On Friday, March 21, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., a ceremony and reception will be held on campus and will be an event to bring together past, present and even future Globies to celebrate the connections that make our unique school what it is. Special guests from ISA’s earliest days will join us to share memories of how this place came to be and to help us imagine the possibilities of ISA in the next 30 years. Please add March 21, 2025, to your calendars now and spread the word to anyone you know who is connected to ISA. All are invited and all are welcome!
Finally, as everyone stays warm this weekend, we encourage families to monitor the NEISD website and social media channels for weather updates!
Have a great week!
Sincerely,
Steve Magadance and the ISA Faculty
