Juanita’s leadership efforts have earned her a special spot at Roan Forest Elementary. And recently, it has also gained broader recognition. Juanita is the school’s Leader in Me Lighthouse Coordinator and she has done it with such tenacity that the Franklin Covey corporation is recruiting her as a member of their Educational Advisory Board. She spent hours upon hours during the Thanksgiving break, weekends and evenings working on the school’s digital re-certification requirements. Not only did she complete them, but she impressed the company with her level of professionalism that set the new standard for qualifying schools. Roan Forest attained recertification for the next two years thanks to her efforts. For Juanita, this was all a labor of love.
