These MacArthur High School students stay after school to clean classrooms and hallways, working in partnership with the custodians. These students volunteer after school, four days a week. They have committed to making their campus a cleaner place, while helping the hardworking staff at MacArthur. As you can imagine, high school students can find a lot of things other things to do besides cleaning after school. And many do have work and extracurricular obligations. But they’ve made a commitment since the beginning of the school year and are creating a deeper sense of school pride in the process.
