Linda is the beloved crossing guard at Regency Place Elementary School, but her role at the school doesn’t stop there. She has made it her goal to know the names of every single student who crosses her path along with those of their family. Along with greeting them by name every day, she gets to see if they need anything from clothing, backpacks, shoes and general supplies. If she feels she can help, she immediately connects them to the school’s Family Specialist. She herself will often donate clothing, shoes, food, school supplies, backpacks and children’s books. She’s a supportive member of the school’s PTA and she doesn’t forget about the staff either. She will often add little decorative seasonal touches in the teacher’s lounge and bring surprise snacks for staff to enjoy. Her giving spirit is felt throughout Regency Place.
