The Rosbots from Legacy of Educational Excellence (LEE) High School earned first place at the San Antonio District FIRST Robotics Competition. They also secured their first-ever Industrial Design Award for the most robust robot design.

This incredible team is made up of students from LEE, our STEM High School magnet program and the International School of the Americas (ISA) at LEE.

They competed against 42 teams and finished with an impressive 10-2 record before going undefeated in the championship playoffs.

“I am extremely proud of the students, coaches, and mentors who have worked so hard to design a successfully competitive strategy, programming design, and solid working robot,” said STEM Robotics Teacher Giovanni Neri.

The Rosbots team was founded in 2014, and each consecutive class teaches the incoming students best practices in robotics and competing.

Congratulations to the Rosbots on their outstanding performance and well-deserved victories!

Many of our schools are excelling in all sorts of robotics competitions across the country. It shows how our students can follow their passions and reach great heights.
