Scoring Touchdowns & Scrubbing Buses
Being a part of the LEE Football team is bigger than touchdowns and interceptions. These young men are learning how to give back to their community #theNEISDway!
Members of the Legacy of Educational Excellence (LEE) High School Varsity football team visited the North East ISD Transportation Terminal on Broadway Avenue to help clean buses as bus drivers and assistants prepare for the new school year.
The student athletes scrubbed several buses inside and out before the vehicles rolled through the bus-sized car wash on site. It was a huge help to the Transportation team and a valuable lesson about helping out staff members who do so much to ensure our students are successful on and off the field.
“It’s important to me that we teach these boys how to build our community up and show support however we can,” said Head Coach Wendell Harris. “I’ve got a great staff and some great boys on the team, so we had a lot of fun out here giving back.”
