These North East ISD artists got a Gold Seal of approval at the State VASE Contest!
The 2023 Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) state contest was recently held in San Marcos. This year, NEISD had an incredible 89 student artworks selected to go to State VASE. In total, 46 of these pieces medaled at State, and THREE were chosen as Gold Seal artworks.
A Gold Seal is the equivalent of winning a state championship in art! Out of the more than 30,000 statewide entries, only a total of 151 are chosen as Gold Seals.
Congratulations to senior Yennika Rivera Vazquez (Johnson High School), junior Aubrey Warmke (Johnson), and junior Mariela Pena (The International School of the Americas) for receiving a Gold Seal!
