Garner MS Campus Replacement Plan Phase IV

Garner Middle School celebrates new facilities with ribbon cutting
9/23/2019 - Parents, students, teachers and District administrators celebrated with an official ribbon cutting.

The 2015 Bond Program included funding to continue implementation of the Garner Middle School Master Redevelopment Project and provide new modernized facilities for the campus. Previous bond programs have funded a new Science Classroom Addition (2003 Bond), a new Athletic Facility Addition (2007 Bond), and a new two-story Classroom Addition which houses the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classrooms (2011 Bond). The 2015 Bond continued the campus redevelopment plan and provided for construction of the following program elements: (1) kitchen and cafeteria with performance stage area; (2) fine arts facilities including band, orchestra, choir, and black box program areas; (3) library and media center; and (4) landscaping, irrigation, drainage, site utilities, and infrastructure improvements to complement the new facility addition. The project included approximately 52,002 square feet of new facilities and 6,723 square feet of selected renovations of existing classroom areas into temporary facilities to support the library, special education, and career and technology program areas.
