Wilshire Elementary School students are getting ready for the future #theNEISDway

Career Day brought a variety of options and a whole lot of fun to students. There were plenty of dream jobs on display, including visits from San Antonio Water System (SAWS), Raising Cane’s, several military branches, and H-E-B, to name a few.

First grader Benjamin Bean wants to be a police officer when he grows up. He got to see North East Police Department Officer Greg Reusink and his K-9 partner up close.

“It was pretty cool,” said Benjamin.

It’s never too early to start thinking about life after NEISD. If you’re looking for direction, guidance and resources, join us at our College and Career Expo on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Freeman Coliseum Expo Hall 2 from 5:30 – 8 p.m.

Come speak with college and university representatives and career representatives for free. There will also be information available on our wide selection of magnet programs, AVID program and Advanced Academics. NEISD is providing two shuttle service options for families to attend this event, with buses departing from Blossom Athletic Center.
