Team Red, the robotics team from the Engineering & Technologies Academy (ETA) at Roosevelt High School, has a lot to celebrate! The group recently finished second place overall at the 2022 FIRST Championship Robotics Competition in Houston. Team Red worked hard to prepare for the statewide contest under the direction of ETA teacher and robotics sponsor Rick Saldana.
“As a parent of one of the students on the team, I have watched the team grow this year to the point where they made it to the state finals in Houston two weeks ago,” said ETA parent Cinthia Garza. “Mr. Saldana and the mentors have spent many hours after school, on the weekends and out of town preparing our students for success. The team and the parents are extremely proud and happy with this accomplishment.”
