Cadets in the Johnson High School JROTC program have their sights set on making history! Johnson’s Marksmanship team advanced to the Civilian Marksmanship Service National Championships in the Precision and Sporter Divisions. This is the first time ever that North East ISD will be represented in both divisions of the national championship round. Johnson enters the final nationally ranked as 4th in Precision and 7th in Sporter.

“To advance in a single division is a major achievement for any program,” said Colonel William LaChance, Director of Army Instruction at NEISD. “Advancing in both divisions places this Johnson group among the ranks of an elite shooting program. Congratulations to Major Thomas Groggett and his teams!”

Civilian Marksmanship Service National Championships take place at Camp Perry, Ohio, March 17 - 19.

Good luck, Johnson cadets!
