Congratulations, Mrs. Cuevas!

Congratulations to Mrs. Cheryl Cuevas for being selected as the Castle Hills Trinity Prize nominee!

The Trinity Prize was launched in 1982 to honor public school teachers who are set apart in their teaching practice through outstanding classroom performance, leadership in the school and school district, contributions to the education profession, and stellar community service.

Mrs. Cuevas has been teaching for 28 years, and this is her third year teaching third grade at Castle Hills. She says, “My favorite part of being a third grade teacher is seeing my students teach each other how to solve mathematical problems, sharing some of my favorite authors since they are beginning to read more challenging books, and that they are willing to express their opinion and reasoning about things that are happening in our world. It’s fun having independent thinkers who are not 'too cool' to allow their teacher to love on them!"

Mrs. Cuevas is loved and respected by the entire Castle Hills community. She is known for her incredible ability to build relationships with all students. We are proud to have her at Castle Hills!
