Congratulations to our Castle Hills Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Dawn Haberthur!
Mrs. Haberthur began teaching at Castle Hills Elementary last year. She has been a part of the NEISD family for the past seventeen years, spending twelve of those years teaching fourth & fifth grade, three years as a math coach, and two years as a math specialist. Her heart called her back to the classroom, and last year she was the virtual teacher for fifth grade. She loves to learn, and she loves to teach!
When asked what she loves most about teaching fifth grade, she replied, "I love shaping independent minds, creating problem solvers, allowing their voices to be heard and hopefully instilling the love of learning. School is fun! Also, fifth graders get my jokes!"
