Visitors & Safety

NEISD is committed to the safety of students, staff, parents, and volunteers. The district continuously seeks additional layers of security and enhances security measures already in place. Common at district campuses are cameras, secure-entry vestibules, background checks, law enforcement officers, and “buzz-in” systems to access buildings. Additionally, campus employees and counselors receive training to recognize potential threats and students struggling with personal trauma.
