Roosevelt counselors win state-wide award again!

The counseling team at Roosevelt High School has been recognized as one of the best in the state for a sixth year. The Texas School Counselor Association (TSCA) named Roosevelt as a CREST Award winner for the 2021-2022 school year. CREST stands for Counselors Reinforcing Excellence for Students in Texas.

The Roosevelt counseling team has won the award five school years in a row.

Schools receiving the CREST award have demonstrated a commitment using the school guidance and counseling program to improve the lives and achievement of students in academic, career, and social domains. Counselors play a crucial role on every NEISD campus and provide guidance and support to students in a variety of areas, from academics to college and career readiness and social or emotional issues. They also work with students, teachers, parents and community members to ensure a comfortable, healthy learning environment for everyone on campus.

This year’s award winners will be recognized during the Professional School Counselor Conference in February.
